BMI stands for Body Mass Index and is a tool that measures the amount of body fat you have. BMI is based on your height and weight and is very easy to calculate your own BMI yourself.

To calculate your BMI you must know your height in inches and your weight. Once you find out those you can calculate your BMI by taking your weight and multiplying it by 703 (your weight x 703) then taking your height and multiplying it by its self(your height x your height). Once you have those to numbers you do take the weight total after multiplying and dividing it by your height total.

For example:

Weight: 115 (703 X 115) = 80,845

Height: 66 Inches (66 X66) = 4,356

BMI(Body Mass Index) = 80,845 / 4,356 = 18.6 is the BMI

Interpreting your BMI is easy! If you have a BMI of 18.5 or below you are classified as underweight. Having a BMI of 18.5 to 24.9 you have a normal weight. Having 25 to 29.9 BMI index means you are in the overweight category and anything 30 and over is classified obese.
